Mouser Adds Record Number of Manufacturers to Line Card in 2020
Despite the various challenges resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, Mouser managed to add 74 new manufactures to its line card in 2020, a record for the organization.
Among the new manufacturers added by Mouser are Mini-Circuits, BittWare, a Molex company, and Trinamic, which is now part of Maxim Integrated. The additions particularly show Mouser’s emphasis on the emerging Internet of Things (IoT) market, with 20 of the new additions being embedded manufacturers.

Arrow Announces New Chief Operating Officer
Arrow Electronics has revealed in a press release that Sean J. Kerins has been named the company’s new chief operating officer, directly reporting to chairman, president, and CEO Michael J. Long.
Kerins previously served as president of Arrow’s global enterprise computing solutions business since 2014. Prior to that, he was president of enterprise computing solutions for the North American region since 2010, and vice president of storage and networking since 2007. Before his work at Arrow, he spent ten years at EMC in sales, marketing, and professional services roles around the world. Earlier in his career, he held progressively senior roles at Coopers & Lybrand Consulting, and served as an industrial engineer with General Motors.

Digi-Key Becomes Carrier of Raspberry Pi Products
Digi-Key has announced that it has become an official Raspberry Pi authorized distributor.
With more than 36 million platforms sold, Raspberry Pi has been used as a platform for a variety of initiatives from rapid prototyping to production-ready designs. Raspberry Pi’s full line of products includes low-cost, high-performance computers and development boards designed to help users of all levels with computing and digital making.

Future Extends Franchise Sales Agreement with Maxim Integrated
Effective as of January 1, 2021, Future Electronics has announced an agreement to extend its franchise sales agreement with Maxim Integrated Products into the EMEA Region.
The extension of the franchise to EMEA (excluding Israel) was part of a planned progression by Maxim Integrated to make Future Electronics a global supplier of its broad portfolio of power and analogue products. The franchise roll-out has been implemented in steps, starting with the Americas in 2016 and then an extension into Asia in 2018.
